Apple Request

Apple Request

I am a teacher at a local school district and drive the majority of Route 49 on a daily basis. Along my drive I have the awe-inspiring experience of observing a multitude of apple trees in full harvest. Unfortunately, many of these trees are bearing fruit that drop straight to the ground and are not enjoyed by human consumption.

I would like to inquire if anybody who owns these trees would give me permission to stop and gather some of these apples to utilize in celebrating the upcoming anniversary of Johnny Appleseed's birthday with my students.

Sincerely....

Jessica

I live on Rt 49 between Gold and Ulysses. If you are going by my place you are welcome to take any apples from my tree that you want. Paula

Myself and many of my contemporaries do enjoy dining on these apples but there are plenty to go around and it is a little scary when cars and trucks go whizzing by. Kudies and dildines to you for teaching your students about the importance of trees and conservation to many wildlife species and not just us!

Except for the teacher, who should receive the donation for her students and her themed class, why don't the rest of you BUY some apples??? Farmers don't grow their crops because they have nothing else to do! And the ones that drop on the ground often go to feed farm animals!

Paula and Bambi: Why do you choose to comment under the redundant name of ANONYMOUS, but then use your own names in your comment???

I think Bambi is a deer.
Read it again.
But what are kudies?

@ 4:18 , perhaps simple confusion and convenience.. not everybody has a website, openID or Blog, and plenty of people just assume name/url is for when you wanna post your website.. clicking the "Anonymous" radio button requires less effort than filling in a name and optional URL

6:32 you hit the nail right on the head with your reasoning. I rather tag my name at the end then fill out the other forms.. I don't leave much of a comment so it's faster to go thru the anonymous... thank jc

I think we need to quit complaining about how we choose to leave our messages and just let the teacher have some dang apples !

Really...the lady just posted to get permission to pick a bag of apples and you people have to frerak out and start a fight over names....and you wonder why people refer to us as hicks...grow up

yea, be glad she wants to do something constructive with our students. Not many teachers out there actually care about the students they just care about the pay check.

Don't be so stingy 4:17. Why not give them to somebody to enjoy. They just lay there and rot or entice deer to come along the roadway and get hit while eating them. Geez! And I don't post MY name on here because some of you people are so nasty, I am afraid if you knew my name you would find me and hurt me. lol
