DuBOIS - Authorities are looking for information on a burglary at a DuBois gun shop.

Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. said Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to a burglary and theft of guns at the L.B. Toney Company in DuBois City.

Shaw stated that at about 7:35 p.m. Aug. 29, officers from the DuBois City Police Department were dispatched to L.B. Toney Company at 135 Beaver Drive for a report of a general alarm going off.

When police arrived, officers noticed that a front side window on the right hand side of the building had been smashed out.

Officers recovered a pry bar and two pistols that had been lying in a bush in front of the window that had been smashed.

After securing the location, police saw damage to the interior of the building, including a broken entrance door and a smashed gun show case.

Officers also found that several firearms valued at more than $2,000 were missing.
Clearfield County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the burglary.

Anyone with knowledge of crime is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at (800)-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by visiting the Clearfield County District Attorney web site at "www.ClearfieldDA.org" and selecting "Report A Crime."
