National Moment of Remembrance on Sunday, September 11th.

National Moment of Remembrance on Sunday, September 11th.

Today, the Potter County Commissioners have adopted a Proclamation which joins county and local governments across the country in encouraging local participation in the National Moment of Remembrance on Sunday, September 11, marking the 10th anniversary of the terrorists’ attack on America. At 1 pm, the Commissioners encourage all churches to ring their bells and all emergency organizations to sound their sirens as a show of national unity. A remembrance service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm in Shinglehouse’s Assembly Park, sponsored by the Oswayo Valley Ministerium.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact this office.

The people of New York City and the rest of the country should be outraged at how their govenment is handling the 9/11 services at the world trade center site! NO firemen,NO police, NO preists, ministers, ect are aloud to speak! What a slap in the face to the American people !

Don't we already have enough outrage?

Do we really need to outrage over everything?

They day after 9/11 we were all united.
Today? We are all at each others throats as if we were mortal enemies. In every thing and on every topic.

People used to say "You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time."

New phrase is in order I think:

"You can please some of Americans IF you're part of their political party, religion and book club... outside of that just don't try to please anyone because someone is waiting with thin skin and bated breath to scream at you for some perceived outrage"

And funny thing is, most the people that are permanently outraged at everything claim membership to a faith that supposedly holds love and forgiveness above all other things. ....and they wonder why people stopped going to church.

How about we just be happy with the ceremony they have??

For one day don't be so outraged that someone didn't pander to what you personally would have done if the world revolved around what you thought was right.

Why is it people feel that if the world doesn't bend to their personal beliefs, this constitutes oppression towards them?

Give it a rest. No one is throwing you in a pit of lions here.

We are all free to worship whatever gods we wish to. And just because you can't pray with a megaphone at ground zero Sunday, doesn't mean your being oppressed.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
-Matthew 6:5-6

Have you checked out YouTube and seen the clips telling us it was our own government that brought this upon us?
