James B. Swackhamer, 67, of 535 Bolivar Drive, Bradford PA.

James B. Swackhamer, 67, of 535 Bolivar Drive, passed away Friday, October 14th, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones at BRMC.

Born May 31, 1944, in Bradford, he was the son of the late James W. and Jane (Wentworth) Swackhamer.

On May 29, 1965 in St. Bernard Church he married Karen L. (Brown) Swackhamer who survives.

A 1962 graduate of Bradford High School, he had been employed at Air Co Speer, drove for Tom Neilly, Weber Knapp, McQuaid Trucking and retired from Commonwealth Trucking. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM, McKean County Shrine Club and a member of the former Bradford Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Karen of 46 years, two daughters, Tina L. Stack of Bradford, and Jamie (Kenneth) Walsh of Tucson, AZ, a sister, Penny Swackhamer of Canton, GA, five grandchildren: Haley Stack, Aaron Stack, Kenny J. Walsh, Katelyn Walsh and Kasey Walsh, one uncle, Victor (Dorothy) Wentworth and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Gay Wentworth, Renee Wentworth and Lee (Mark) Yale.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 17, 2011, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., at which time funeral and committal services will be held at 8:00pm with Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating.
