Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Three Punxsutawney youths were killed and a fourth person was critically injured in a one-car crash in Armstrong County late Friday.

The Armstrong County Coroner's office said the driver, Sean McConnaughey, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:28 p.m. accident on Route 839 in Franklin Township.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office said Joel Riggleman, 18, and Dylan Behrendt, 19, were pronounced dead early this morning in UPMC Presbyterian, where they had been transported after the crash.

The fourth passenger, whose identity was not immediately available, was reported to be in critical condition in Allegheny General Hospital.

State police said that for an unknown reason the vehicle left the roadway and went into a field where it flipped over several times, ejecting all four occupants.
