CHICAGO BRASS QUINTET AND TABLE FOR 5 BRING CHRISTMAS TO BROMELEY

CHICAGO BRASS QUINTET AND TABLE FOR 5 BRING CHRISTMAS TO BROMELEY

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Prism Series will present a traditional program of Christmas music by top-notch performers when the Chicago Brass Quintet and Table for 5 perform “Wishing You a Merry Christmas.”

The concert by these two Midwestern favorites will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall. Tickets are $24-$28 for the public and $10-$12 for all students.

The brass quintet and vocal jazz quintet will present a program that will include traditional songs such as “Joy to the World,” “Lo How a Rose Ere Blooming,” “Silent Night,” selections from the “Nutcracker Suite” and “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.” Table for 5 will also perform a capella carols.

The Chicago Brass Quintet began as a regional group to promote brass chamber music in the Chicago area and rose to prominence when it appeared as guest artists at the International Trumpet Guild’s Conference held in Ithaca, N.Y.

Since then, the five members have performed tours that included the Kennedy Center and Chautauqua Institution.

Table for 5 began with the creation of “A Victorian Christmas,” which became a popular Chicago-area holiday concert that regularly sold out throughout the holiday season.

Members have performed with the Chicago Symphony, the Lyric Opera and aboard Royal Viking and Royal Caribbean cruise lines.

For more information or tickets, contact the Bromeley Theater Box Office at (814)362-5113.
