chicken shit.... that man isn't the criminal here why do they make it seem like he was the one in the shower??

Because he KNEW about it long before it came to light and did NOTHING about it....letting it go on for many years hurting many young men (boys). That's why!!

I think it is unfair for you to withdraw your support when he has not been charged with anything and it is unfair to him and his family for all they have down for Penn State and the local organization of PENNSYLVANIA SPECIAL OLYMPICS IN CENTRE COUNTY.

He was informed by Mike McQuery and Joe informed the next ones up the line and Mike McQuery went home and told his dad and He didn't go anywhere with it. And why should he be paid admistrative leave and the other guy as well when they were all involved. They shouldn't be paid.

This investigation has beeen going on for a very long time. 9:27 is right, Joe knew about it long before it all came out, there is more to come & sorry to say it has been a big cover up for a very long time! It was a situation they all knew about & knew one day it will come to a big blow uo & they all would deal with it then! They only thought of themselves not all the little boys at that time whom Sandusky was abusing sexually mentally, & emotionally! Joe commented himself, he wished he would have done more!

I think this is such an injustice. Paterno did EXACTLY what he was supposed to do. He took it to the next level. He did not witness it, and therefore, had he gone to the police anything he said would have been "hear-say". The lynch-mob mentality today is completely out of control. What happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'? Joe's exemplary career has now been devastated by a situation in which he did the RIGHT thing, but the ball was dropped somewhere above his head. Come on, people. Is this fair?

Hey GT read the Grand Jury report; a lot more folks need to loose their jobs and have the career ruined.

We have met Glenn and admired him but not sure if we do now. we are vert sorry for the victims but do not blame Joe Pa. He did not derserve to be fired after all he has done for not only the football program but for the college. Shame on the people that fired him and shame on Glenn.

Hello people, Sandusky ruined not only JoePa's life but alot of others, not PSU!!!!!! It is about Sandusky & all the boys he molested!

Joe always talked about how important it is to have a high moral standard. Yes, he did tell the people above him, but anyone who works with kids is morally bound to report even suspected child abuse. He did not live up to the standards he preached. What if that was you or your kid being abused...what if someone told someone about it and nothing happened. Joe and many other adults did not go far enough to protect the kids.

Joe Paterno should have had his job taken long ago if people knew he was holding back information and didn't act responsibly for these young boys. His morals should be questioned, and more.
Everyone who knew and did nothing should be held accountable.

THANK YOU 9:40 & 4:27! Joe was covering up!

PSU did not destroy Joe's retiring! "SANDUSKY", Joe's best friend, coach "SANDUSKY" destroyed Joe & many lives along with Joe's was destroyed by him!

quick poll-

raise your hand if you actually read any of the articles about what is taking place in State College.

based on the comments read here i would have to say no one is raising their hand. stop being spoon fed and read up on this. your ill informed comments and improperly formed opinions (based on misinformation)are irresponsible.

some times the best response is "i need more information". some times the best opinion is "i need to process facts before i form an opinion"

I do not blame Joe Paterno, should he have to babysit the higher ups at the college? Also if he didn't see it, how could he really do much more than what he did? I think the higher ups and the actual guy who did it should be the paying not Joe or the guy that reported it to him.. But one question, why didn't the guy who seen it go directly to the police? That is what I would have done.. It's neither here nor there... The media hung Joe... The media likes ruining peoples lives because unfortunately people will watch it... If you have a big name they will eat it up like candy.. Plaster it all over the place, causing more problems than good... .Look at Gary Condit for example... They had him guilty of killing someone and he didn't someone else did.. Ruined his career though... I don't agree with what Glenn Thompson is doing, he shouldn't withdraw his support for Joe... I am getting off my soap box now.. The last thing I have to say is that I hope that the boys that have been hurt are getting couseling they need so that can heal as much a victim can..

I am appalled by all the adults who enabled Sandusky in continuing his predatory sexual behavior by not reporting him to the police immediately. What kind of depraved, cowardly adults behave this way? And why? Did they allow those boys, and no doubt many more who will go unreported, to “take one for the team?” I think so. The good old boys at Penn State were watching each others backs at any cost. They are the lowest kind of men who walk on this earth.
