I have gotten help with this program and I have kids and was working hard to make ends meat and now my daughter is on this program she works 40 hours week and has a little boy, she works hard to help her son. Sometimes people need a little help to make it through the winter. so its not all welfare people that get this.

It's not all "welfare people" It's working families and senior citizens, who will likely have many a cold nights this winter since I heard the grants have been cut in half. A few of you need to research "Corporate Welfare" to see where your money is really going. Low income programs are a drop in the bucket compared to what our government gives Corporations. The poor & weak citizens are just a easy scapegoat in this countries mess. Now they want to slow down Seniors social security cost of living increases. Open your eyes and put blame where it really belongs.

Billions of our tax dollars are freely given to fast food chains too keep their prices low. But not a penny to make healthy food affordable.
