Mary C. Foley, 60, of Main Street, Eldred, PA

ELDRED, PA - Mary C. Foley, 60, of Main Street passed away Tuesday (Nov. 22, 2011) at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport following a long illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1951, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Lloyd and Leda Boser Ackley. On July 7, 1978, in Portville, NY, she married Patrick A. Foley, who survives.

Mary was a 1969 graduate of Allegany (NY) High School and had resided in Eldred since 1979.
She worked in the cafeteria at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse in Allegany for several years and at AVX Ceramics in Olean, also for several years.

Mrs. Foley was a member of St. Raphael's Church in Eldred and enjoyed being the local Avon representative. She also enjoyed reading, writing and drawing, as well as spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband are a son, Benjamin (Trish Kirch) Foley of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter, Bridget (Dwayne) Shaw of Rixford; four grandchildren, Arianna, Zoey, Isaac and Sophia Shaw; two brothers, Lloyd Ackley of Vestavia Hills, AL, and Henry Ackley of Salamanca, NY; four sisters, Rebecca (John) Mortenson of Sugar Grove, Valerie Ackley of Allegany, Cynthia (Wayne) Lombardo of North Tonawanda, NY, and Laura Ackley of Wellsville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Bryer; and a brother, George Ackley.

Friends may call at St. Raphael's Church, First Street, Eldred, on Saturday (Nov. 26, 2011) from 1 to 2 p.m., at which time a memorial Mass will be held, with Father Thomas E. Brown as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Smethport.

Memorials may be made to the Eldred Ambulance Fund.

Arrangements are under direction of the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred.
