Doug Sheilds is making some
really good points.
One of the most important points he makes is how important it is for citizens to know where
their local government officials stand on drilling.

I can't think of any other
SIGNIFICANT issue where our municipal and county officials
did not tell the public their opinion.
Nothing has been as significant as the Marcellus boom and hydraulic fracturing.
It is wrong for state, COUNTY and MUNICIPAL officials not to inform the public where they stand on the Marcellus and hydraulic fracturing issues.

"the drillers have spent over 762 million dollars effecting our political process with their influence..."
It sure went a long way...all the way to Potter.

The Protesters do far less harm to Penn state's reputation then Penn State does to themselves. They have done our area an injustice while helping to spread the industry lies.

They sold out. Discrediting all research and studies related to Marcellus Shale.
Except for our Task Force, most people know Penn State Marcellus fairy tale is turning into a nightmare.
