William E. Plowman, 71, of 482 Lambert Dr. Bradford, PA

William E. Plowman, 71, of 482 Lambert Dr. Bradford, passed away Friday, November 25th, 2011 at the Bradford Manor.

Born September 28, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late William A. and Esther (Yount) Plowman. He was raised in Rew by the late Fred and Rhea Moore. He was a 1960 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 30, 1961 United Brethren Church in Olean he married Beverly (Anderson) Plowman who survives.

Bill was a member of First Wesleyan Church, a former Sunday School Superintendent, Usher and served on the board of directors. He was a former member of the Rew Volunteer Fire Department where he served as President and Fire Chief

He was employed at Quaker State Oil Company for 26 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife Beverly he is survived by three daughters; Brenda (Dave) Morgan of Rew, Elizabeth (Bill Swanson) Soyke of Bradford and Belinda (Mark Dunlap) Plowman of Lewis Run, 12 grandchildren: Brandon Plowman, Michelle Schaming, Tara Schaming, Becky Plowman, Sarah Plowman, Jamine Matthew Hanson, Tyler Soyke, Brooke Soyke, Alex Soyke, Mackenzie Dunlap, Logan Dunlap, and Cameron Dunlap, three great grandchildren Brayden Plowman, Casey Soyke and Owen Blauser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son William A. Plowman, two brothers Robert Abrams and Glen Abrams.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday November 28, 2011 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St. at which time funeral and committal will be held with Rev. Fred Moore pastor of the Rew United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the First Wesleyan Church the SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice.
