Woman Hurt In Sunday Crash On Route 6 In Eulalia Township

A Port Allegany woman suffered a minor injury early Sunday morning when the car she was riding in struck an embankment and rolled on it's roof on Route 6, 1.4 miles west of Dingman Run Road in Eulalia Township.

Tabatha L. Skillman, 33, of Port Allegany, PA, was transported to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital by Coudersport Ambulance for treatment of her injury.

She was a passenger in a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Scott A. Herzog, 28, of Port Allegany, PA. Herzog and another passenger, Morry B. Robinson, 25, of Coudersport were not injured. Troopers said all were using seat belts at the time of the crash.

The 1:50 am crash occurred as Herzog was driving westbound on Rt. 6. He lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a right curve in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the northern edge of the roadway and struck an embankment, then overturned and came to rest on it's right side in the westbound travel lane.

Herzog was found to be under the influence of alcohol. DUI and summary charges, including (not) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed, will be filed in District Court 55-3-01 at Coudersport.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Coudersport Fire Department. The vehicle was towed by Kightlinger Motors.
