Genesee Township Teen Drank Alcoholic Beverage

Just after midnight Friday morning, Troopers responded to a report of an 18 year old having consumed an alcoholic beverage at 140 Elllisburg Road, Genesee Township, Potter County.

Cody Wight, 18, of that address was charged in District Court 55-4-01 for Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a non-traffic citation.

to second comment,this is not a felony for crying out loud. It is a citation...The kid was drinking an alcoholic beverage and walking...He is 18, and old enough to go to war and possibly kill, but cant have a beer. Most kids are going to experiment...I see the amish kids on the side of the road drinking and smoking cigarettes...Oh yea, they wont work mcdonalds either...Bless him, that is what Cody needs

Every kid knows that drinking under the age of 21 is wrong and illegal. If not, you as a parent must have been too drunk to teach them that it is wrong and illegal.

you are so right our young sons and daughters can go to war and die for everyones safety and yet there not aloud to drink a beer.... so is he in the military? just asking.. It's like not having a drivers license but can steer a ship or a sub... Go figure... lol twisted world we live in..

Not that many years ago 18 was a legal age. How many of you on here have drink before you came of age?
I did. Think I turned out pretty good. Seventy years down the road!
