James H. Noblit, 84, of 200 St. Francis Drive, formerly of 236 East Main Street, Bradford, PA

James H. Noblit, 84, of 200 St. Francis Drive, formerly of 236 East Main Street passed away Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born July 1, 1927, in Mt. Jewett he was a son of the late William D. and Hazel (Hall) Noblit

On March 5, 1947 in Mt Jewett he married Phyllis C. (Carl) Noblit who died on July 24, 2005.

Mr. Noblit was a 1945 graduate of Mt, Jewett High School. On June 26, 1945 he enlisted in the United States Navy, served during WW II and was honorably discharged August 1, 1946.

He had worked as a forman at Dresser Manufacturing for 37 years and also owned and operated Jim's Saw Service on East Main Street for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM.

He is survived by three daughters; Judy Nelson of Vineland, NJ, Deborah Lorshbaugh of Latrobe, and Barb Sheeley of Bradford, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter Rebecca Lee "Becky" Perkins and one grandson Brent Lorshbaugh.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Bridgeview Cemetery, Mt Jewett.
