Man Cited For Hit & Run In Early Morning Exit

A Shinglehouse man wasn't hurt, but now he's facing Hit & Run charges in District Court after an eventful exit from the Shinglehouse Legion parking lot off Route 44 in Sharon Township.

Samuel F. Mesler Jr., 45, of Shinglehouse, PA, was apparently having trouble navigating his 2003 Chevrolet CK 1500 when he left the American Legion parking lot at 3:00 am last Saturday morning.

Trooper Neil R. Fausey, who investigated, said the crash occurred as Mesler was departing the parking lot, when his vehicle contacted the Legion building on the west side. Then the vehicle drove through the yard of the Legion, hitting a wooden fence attached to the Legion, continued easterly through the Legion yard, where it hit a UGI gas meter in the Legion yard near the roadway.

These bars should let their customers have a few more drinks before they leave........wasn't the first 1 he had this month...........he need's to walk

not the first time mesler has had trouble navigating his vehicle, he has hit several other vehicles at other business in town late at night.keep your drunk ass off the road before you kill somebody. maybe the law should be out watching for his blue chevy at the bars. instead of pulling people over for driving to slow.

well the beertenders, and owners need to just say no, u dont need one more, not comical, but i shoulda been out an parked by him just for a few repairs i need

had to keep up the momentum to clear all those obstacles. too far for him to walk home, so he had to drive. someone ought to buy him a canoe and he could float to town on the Oswayo, just west of the legion, and downhill all the way.
