Multiple Deer In Road Cause 2 Vehicle Crash

An Emporium woman was moderately injured
Wednesday night at 9:15 pm when the car she was riding in, slammed into the back of a pickup truck that had stopped for multiple deer blocking the roadway on Route 120 near Tanglefoot Run in Gibson Township. .


Melinda K. Ackman, 48, of Emporium, PA, was transported to Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys by Emporium Ambulance for treatment of what police described as moderate injuries.

The driver, Charles M. Ackman, 24, of Akron, Ohio, and another passenger Kevin P. Ackman, 62, of Emporium, were not injured.

Scott A. Graham, 51, of Driftwood, PA, was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra Pickup that had stopped in the eastbound lane to avoid hitting multiple deer. on Route 120 near Tanglefoot Run in Gibson Township. Graham was not injured. All occupants were wearing seat belts.

Ackman, who was driving an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala behind the pickup, failed to stop and struck the rear of the pickup truck.

Charles Ackman will be cited for (not) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed.

Gosh, don't say anything about the "multiple deer" in the road, the Pa. Game Comm. will want to issue another thousand or so Doe permits for next year!!!
