Port Allegany/Sharpsville Game To Be Streamed On Radio

Blue Devils face Port Allegany at SRU

---- — The good news? Sharpsville High’s football squad still suffers from injuries, as much if not moreso than last week.

What kind of convoluted logic is that?

If the undefeated Blue Devils (12-0) continue to deal with debilitating injuries as well as they’ve done thus far, they could be destined to debunk the doubters. That will be determined Friday night at Slippery Rock University’s Mihalik-Thompson Stadium when Sharpsville meets Port Allegany (12-1) in the PIAA Class A quarterfinals.

“The good news is, we’re still able to put eleven guys on the field,” quipped Sharpsville skipper Paul Piccirilli, who admitted,........More....

Note: The game will be broadcast on NewsTalk 790 (WPIC AM), with Jeff Wimer and Mike Piddington calling the action, or steamed at www.790wpic.com — Herald sportswriter Rob Malsom contributed research for this preview.

"G A T O R F O O T B A L L" - quote Bill Taylor or "Come on & hit somebody" - quote Paul Brown. Good luck Gators & bring us home a win!

well it's obvious that the article is not unbiased journalisim.....to imply that the only way that one team could beat the other is due to injuries is insulting to a group of young men who have given everything they had to ensure a championship season....to diminish all the hard work and determination with one offhand remark is just plain ignoran. It looks to me like the Sharon Hearald's Editor and the reporter who wrote the article owe some boys a very public apology!
