Robert C. Jack, 86, a resident of Felt Manor Living,Emporium, PA

Robert C. Jack, 86, a resident of Felt Manor Living,Emporium, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in his home.

Born September 4, 1925 in Ridgway, he was the son of Bruce and Myrtle Duffee Jack. On July 18, 1953 in Ridgway he married Verle M. Jack who died March 5, 1997. On June 27, 1998 in Emporium, he married Florence Anna Stoltz who survives.

Mr. Jack was a veteran of WWII having served as an electricians mate in the US Navy.

After returning home from the service he received a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State DuBois.

A resident of Emporium for 60 years, he was employed as an electronics engineer by GTE Sylvania in Emporium retiring in 1983. For many years he was a driver for the Cameron County Ambulance Service.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporium and a member of the church choir, Emporium Men’s Club,Cameron County Snowmobile Association, Bucktail RVers, the Singing Dutchmen of St Marys, Emporium Masonic Lodge #382 F&AM and he was a Shriner.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: a son, Kevin R.(Debbie) Jack of Driftwood; a daughter, Karen (Dan) Abbott of Bradford; five grandchildren; a brother, Clyde A. Jack of Ridgway, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by seven step children, 26 step grandchildren and 7 great step grandchildren.

Visitations with video tribute will be held Friday, December 16 in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium from 4-7 pm at which time a Masonic Memorial Service will follow.

Funeral and Committal Services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, Emporium with the Rev. Gary Atkinson, pastor,officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.

Burial will be in Newton Cemetery,Emporium.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cameron County Ambulance Service, Felt Manor Living or Community Nurses Hospice.
