Ronald L. "Bubba" Kennedy, Sr. 55, of 173 Kennedy Street, Bradford, PA

Ronald L. "Bubba" Kennedy, Sr. 55, of 173 Kennedy Street, passed away Thursday, December 22nd, 2011 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born January 6, 1956, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Alfred L. and Dawn E. (Fenton) Kennedy.

On June 27, 2008, he married Cathy J. (Shugars) Kennedy who survives.

Mr. Kennedy was a 1973 graduate of Bradford Area High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to Bradford he worked for Halliburton Services for 15 years where he was known as "Robot", drove school bus for the Bradford Area School District, worked at Superior Well Service and then at Appalachian Well Services as a frack operator. He enjoyed camping and was a dedicated Steeler's fan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Christina (Brian) Wilmoth of Bradford and Cassandra (Chris) Maynard of New Oxford, one son, Ronald L. Kennedy, Jr. of Bradford, two sisters, Cheryl (Carl) Parker of Bradford and Debra Tilley of Allegany, one brother, Gerald H. (Jackie) Gross of Derrick City, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. where funeral and committal services will be held 10:00am on Tuesday, December 27th, with Pastor Jerry Stauffer of the Grace Chapel Fellowship Church in Farmers Valley, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
