Bfd Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase

A Bradford man was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to four to eight years in state prison for leading police on a high speed chase on July 20. 43 year-old Jeffery Frampton pleaded guilty in November to fleeing from a police officer, reckless endangerment, DUI and numerous traffic violations. Frampton was also accused of attempting to hit Bradford City Police Chief Chris Lucco with his SUV and then leading police on a chase, where speeds reached 70 MPH in the city. He also was sentenced for another DUI case from May 22.

Case of Whooping Cough in Smethport
The Smethport Area School District has informed parents, in a letter, that children in the school system may have been exposed to whooping cough. The school district's nurses believe that most students have been vaccinated against whooping cough. The highly contagious disease begins with cold symptoms and a cough and worsens over a couple of weeks.

Bfd Man Gets Three to Six in Prison
A Bradford man has been sentenced to three to six years in state prison on theft and gun charges. 26 year-old Cotton Winston had pleaded guilty to three seperate cases earlier this month. Visiting Senior Judge William Morgan told the court that Winston probably committed the thefts because of his addiction to pills.

Bfd man Convicted of Sexual Assault
A Bradford man has been found guilty in three sexual assault cases in McKean County Court. 47 year-old Randy Waid was convicted of rape, incest, indecent assault and involuntary sexual intercourse with a person under 16. State Police had charged Waid with incidents that happened over several years in Bradford, Foster Township and Turtlepoint.

They school district "believes" that "most students" have been vaccinated. Isn't proof of vaccinations required before they are even permitted to attend required anymore?
