UGI Tapping First Marcellus Gas For PA Customers In Bradford, Tioga & Potter Counties

UGI Utilities keeping Marcellus natural gas here

Company celebrates making first direct connection to wells drilled in Pennsylvania.

10:25 p.m. EST, December 16, 2011

Natural gas extracted from deep beneath Pennsylvania has found a definite market: Pennsylvania.

UGI Utilities on Friday announced it made its first-ever direct interconnect to Marcellus Shale gas wells drilled in the state, enabling the delivery of Pennsylvania natural gas to UGI customers directly from the wells. More.....

This really Great, now they won't have to fix all the leaks, just let them blow and the consumer pay the price for the leaking gas !

Damn marcellus shale ! Now we are buying local and not from other countrys! That will piss off obuma and his merry band of demorats!

UGI / PPL has had gas from the Marcellus wells in Roulette tapped into their pipeline for over 3 years now, they just wouldn't purchase any of it from the company that was producing it. It was all being pumped in here and pulled out in Chicago.

Radionuclide laden gas to cook our Christmas dinner...yay!
Radium 226 produces radon gas...the radon gas can't be removed
from the methane gas...

Put a red bow on a radon detector...Merry Christmas.

9:10... Are you that ignorant to beleive we actually buy natural gas from other (countries)countrys ? You should have your posting license revoked. Oh and BTW the Obuma and Demorat thing has been played to death... Can`t you come up with anything a bit more creative ?

9:11am... If those wells you refer to were connected directly to UGI's pipeline they have no choice but to buy it those are FERC rules.

11:49am... We actually do buy NG from other countrys, its call LNG and it comes by ship as a liquid. There is an LNG plant in cove point maryland.

11:11am... Wow, people like you is why most of the citizens out there are so misinformed.

11:49 better do your homework because we do import gas and coal! You sound like a typical (obuma demorat) clueless!

Was wondering why my gas vent had a funny glo above it.

Dear Gawd... LNG is a totally failing export company. We don`t actually use that gas... It`s stored there for resale. BTW LNG is lookin for about 3 billion dollars to get the banks off their ass so they can build another failing business in Texas... You know like G W Bush did !

What a bunch of brain-fracked idiots.

Last figure from 2010 was we imported 10.2 BCF per day and exported 3.1 BCF per day. So I would say we import natural gas.

@1:06 pm...sorry, that's actually accurate what 11:11am wrote.

There are radionuclides in the shale. Uranium, Radium, Thorium all exist down there....and radon gas naturally produced from the decay of these elements has been confirmed in shale gas.

And yes, it is impossible to chemically remove the radon gas from the methane you cook and heat with.

Here's the simple Google search since you appear to be Google impaired:
