VOCAL ENSEMBLE HOLIDAY CONCERT PLANNED AT PITT-BRADFORD

VOCAL ENSEMBLE HOLIDAY CONCERT PLANNED AT PITT-BRADFORD

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Vocal Art Ensemble will present a free holiday concert at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8 in the KOA Speer Electronics Lobby in Blaisdell Hall.

The ensemble will perform a varied program that includes arrangements of “Carol of the Bells,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Feliz Navidad,” as well as Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” and a selection from the musical “Rent.” The concert will end with a brief carol sing-along.

There will be four solo performances by member of the ensemble. Nyssa Brumagin, an interdisciplinary arts major from North Warren, will sing “The Turtledove.” Andrew Howarth, a criminal justice major from Marlton, N.J., will sing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Carnell Lawson, a broadcast communications major from Trainer, will sing “Give Love on Christmas Day,” and Daniel Robinson, nursing major from Gifford, will sing “O Holy Night.”

Two other students, both studying voice with Regina Gabriel, will also perform solos. Kim Jackson, a biology major from Henrietta, N.Y., will perform “Here Amid the Shady Woods” and Elizabeth Schwab, a business management major from Duke Center, will sing “Two Marionettes.”
