Sara I. Chind, 51, of 6458 Pleasant Valley Road, Bolivar, NY

BOLIVAR, NY - Sara I. Chind, 51, of 6458 Pleasant Valley Road went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday (Jan. 14, 2012), shortly after admission to Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.

Born May 26, 1960, in Los Angeles, she was a daughter of Theodore and Louise Lee Cocco. On July 21, 1979, in Belmont, she married Richard A. Chind, who survives.

Sara received her general education diploma from Friendship Central School.

She was a former employee of Farnsworth Cookie Co., Cuba; and a former home health care provider and member of the Wellsville Full Gospel Fellowship Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Richard A. (Casey) Chind of Friendship; two grandchildren, Kennedy and Jason Chind; her father, Theodore (Margaret Boyle) Cocco of Waldoboro, Maine; three brothers, Theodore Chind of Waldoboro and Edward (Angie) Snieder and Mark Snieder, both of Minnesota; five sisters, Linda Olejniczak of Angelica, Patricia Diebert of Waldobro, Donna (Tim) Sherwood of Friendship, Tina (Jim) Sauve of Edgecomb, Maine, and Rene Cocco of Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Cocco, in 1992.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar; and Friday (Jan. 20, 2012) from 1 to 3 p.m., at which time funeral services will follow with Pastor Mason Sorensen of the Wellsville Full Gospel Fellowship Church officiating.

Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee.
