Vehicle Flipped End Over End At Least Twice In Artiline Road Crash

An Eldred driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries when their 1999 Ford Contour flipped over at least twice on the Artline Road in Eldred Township Tuesday at 4:07 pm.

Jay P. Rice, II, 23, of Eldred, PA, and his passenger, Seth T. Hamilton, 21, of Eldred, PA, were transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center by Eldred Boro ambulance for treatment.

Trooper Mary L. Gausman, who investigated, said the crash occurred as the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Artline Road. As Rice began to negotiate a slight right hand curve in the roadway on a downhill grade, the passenger side tires went off onto the south berm. Rice then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to skid back across the roadway, rotating counter-clockwise.

The vehicle then impacted with an embankment on the north side of the roadway with it's right front, then impacted it again with it's passenger side. The vehicle subsequently flipped at least twice, end over end, coming to rest on the north side of the road facing west.

Both occupants were able to extricate themselves and walked to a nearby house for help. Both had minor injuries. Rice was cited for (not) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed.

State Police were assisted on scene by Eldred Ambulance and Fire Dept. personnel.

...and to make sure I understand this correctly, "Driving a vehicle at a safe speed" would have meant what... 10mph to insure that his "over-correction" wouldn't have resulted in the vehicle skidding and flipping. -- Gotta love these Gestapo arse-h0les that write citations purely to fill up state coffers.

Normally if you flip end over end you are going too fast. Don`t be retarded and blame the cop.
