Suspended officer pleads guilty, will face no jail time
January 26, 2012
,A suspended Williamsport Bureau of Police officer had his day in court Wednesday, but not before a jury.
Instead, Dustin Kreitz, 42, pleaded guilty in Lycoming County Court to failure to report a gift.
Other charges were dismissed by the state attorney general's office prior to his court appearance.
They were: tampering with public records, criminal conspiracy to engage in tampering with public records, obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension, perjury, and restricted activities involving conflict of interest and theft.
Kreitz faced a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
However, the sentence handed down by Potter County Judge John B. Leete amounted to a $350 fine and no jail time. More...

Wow..Wish Judge Leete would come back here and help filter out these ridiculus sentences that the current judge is giving to people for so call crimes that is not even near as worse as this one!!!!!!
Amen!
What!? Here we go again a Judge taking the side of the cops dirty or not. THIS IS BULL S*&*T.
The worst part is his lawyer says there is a chance he can go back to being a cop again. Lovely.
When someone injures or kills a law enforcement officer in the line of duty, I’m all for life in prison for their attacker. However, when a law enforcement officer abuses their power doing something whether it be petty or very serious, they should be held accountable at a much higher level and face very large fines, job loss or life in prison as well.
