Allan R. Holley, 67, of S. Nine Mile Road, formerly of Rixford, PA

ALLEGANY, N.Y. - Allan R. Holley, 67, of S. Nine Mile Road, formerly of Rixford, Pa., passed away Tuesday (Feb. 14, 2012) at Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Nov. 30, 1944, in Olean, he was a son of Richard O. and Margaret Larkin Holley.

Allan attended Otto-Eldred High School and had resided in Rixford and Bradford, Pa., before moving to Allegany.

He was employed in the local oil fields for many years as a driller before his retirement in 2006. He also owned and operated Al's Repair Service for many years at his residence.

He enjoyed working on small engines and carpentry, and he had enjoyed spending many years restoring the old Allegany District Ten School House that was his residence.

Surviving are one brother, Daniel T. (Susan) Holley of Raleigh, N.C.; three nieces, Robin (Dolan) Shoaf and her children Amber, Matthew and Scott, Lisa Holley and her twins Ava and Carson, and niece Kimberly Holley; one nephew, Daniel T. Holley Jr. and his son Dustin.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tracey Holley.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred, Pa., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Kenneth Dunkerly, pastor of the Bradford Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Rixford Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association .
