Ronald P. Trimble Sr., 60, of Knoxville, PA

Ronald P. Trimble Sr. of Knoxville, PA, passed away on April 15, 2012 at his home. He was 60.

Born May 15, 1951 in Philadelphia, he was the son of Earle and Beatrice (Briggs) Trimble.

Ron was a police officer for 22 years, a DARE instructor and he drove a school bus for Northern Tioga School District.

He was an avid hunter, a gentlemen farmer and a 4 H leader.

He was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

Ron is survived by his companion, Matilda Drake of Knoxville; his sons, Frank Trimble (Amy) of Pennsburg, Pa., Michael Trimble (Andrea) of Little Marsh, Pa. and Earle Trimble (Naomi Hoffman), also of Little Marsh; his daughter, Tamara Thomas (Preston) of Wales, England; his wife, Nancy Trimble of Wellsboro; five grandchildren: Shelby, Shanna and Cory Milligan, Alexis Trimble and Justin Delquerico; his mother, Beatrice Trimble of Bristol; three brothers: Larry Trimble of Levitown, Richard Trimble (Kathleen) of Newtown, Pa., and Donald Trimble (Linda) of Levitown; a sister, Pat Trimble of Reading, Pa., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Michele; his son, Ronald Jr., his father, Earle and a brother, Earl Trimble.

Family and friends may call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 West Main St., Westfield on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

A funeral Mass will follow at St. Catherine's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father John Kita officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ron's 4-H Club, T. and E. Farm Group, 415 Hunter Road, Westfield PA 16950.
