Port Allegany Man Looks Like Wooly Willy

He Looks Like Wooly Willy!
Wooly Willy lookalike contest winner will receive custom-made toy.

BELOIT, Wis.— Wooly Willy® has one of the most recognizable and well-loved faces in America. And, after a contest and nationwide search, Patch Products has named Pennsylvanian Dennis Stromberg Wooly Willy’s lookalike! For being named the iconic figure’s doppelganger, Dennis will receive a custom-made Wooly Willy, featuring his very own photograph.

Dennis hails from Port Allegany, PA, not far from Smethport, PA where Wooly Willy was invented by James Herzog in 1955. The classic toy was celebrated earlier this summer at the annual Wooly Willy Wonderdaze festival in Smethport. As an added bonus for this year’s celebration, Patch welcomed fans of the furry, red-nosed man to join the fun and participate in the “They Say I Look Like Wooly Willy” contest. Patch reached out to the public, asking the question: Has anyone ever said you look like Wooly Willy? Or maybe his pal Hairdo Harriet™?

Wooly Willy has been a mainstay on store shelves and in children’s toy chests for nearly 60 years, and his popularity continues to grow. With new designs available – including seasonal ones for Halloween, Easter and Christmas – Patch Products is now selling more and more copies of this fun novelty item. Wooly Willy makes a great travel toy and inexpensive gift!

I don't know guys, it looks like he has a law suit waiting to happen for identity theft or using his likeness without compensation. It almost looks like the toy company used a picture of him to make the toy.

Quit being so snotty 11:25. It's a good story. What's the matter, did you apply and lose?

Your right. It's with great disappointment I don't look like a Wooly Willy. It's such a good look by the way. Just saying that it's not exactly news worthy. There has to be something more news worthy or at least interesting than finding a guy with a mustache. If you find this to be a good news story you may want to get out of the house a little more often. Just sayin.

If you want "news worthy", buy a newspaper...this is a blog after all, not an outlet for the AP.

OMG, Congrats to Dennis, altho I don't know him, it's REALLY good to read something in the news for a change beside, D.U.I.'s Rape, Murder, Car wrecks, Robbery, ETC. ETC. ETC. Jeez people, get real & stop being so negative & nasty.
