I am not an Obama supporter, but I am embarrassed by the behavior of many people around me who are also not supporters of the President. The one bumper sticker that some cretin in Shinglehouse is displaying is an overt racist sentiment that is shared more discreetly by many of my Repubican brethren.
The "America vs. Obama" yard signs are blatant treason, as he is our President and our Commander in Chief. Our troops deserve better than to have anti-American citizens declaring the commander of these fine men and women to be an enemy. If you are declaring "America vs. Obama," then you are declaring that YOU are against everyone who is under his command. After all, when I was in the service we were taught, "all for one, one for all," and we were taught respect for those of higher rank regardless of our personal feelings because the respect is afforded the office/rank and not the individual.
I am embarrassed of many people who share my preference and will likely vote the same way that I do in November.

The problem is, many of the people in this nation have completely forgotten what patriotism is. And somehow willful ignorance and blind seething hatred have taken patriotism's place.

I'd blame the people making billions in this nation stirring up people into an illogical and self-destructive frenzy all for minor political gains

... but really the only people we can blame is those who gobble up all the lies and hate and then spew it back out at people the first chance they get.

I find it ironic that so many would have us believe we live in a Christian nation, yet I rarely see any Christ-like behavior from our people. Our apple has fallen very fall from it's tree.

You don't just deserve respect because you hold the office you earn respect with what you do while you are in that office. Thus far Obama has done nothing but dis respect just about everything and everyone because he holds the office.

Republicans make me laugh. Bashing a president becuse he is black is just poor taste. They want you to believe how christian they are but when it comes down to it they are the biggest racists out there. never any mention of the huge surplus Clinton left for bush to make his first term look somewhat good and how fast h burnt through it. no mention of the complete crap bush left for obama but i am sure if mcain was elected instead it all would have been clintons fault.you want the US to be a leader of nations bring back clinton the trickle down dosent work I would hope the american people would have relized that after bush

Oh darn it!This is bad news as I had myself and twenty other people planning on attending from Emporium and Austin.Facebook can be a great tool for things like this you believe in!I sure hope it is rescheduled.Although personally I don't think a rally is really much needed because after the debates this will become another landslide win for our great president.Just like what happened vs. Mcain!

I don't know when you served our country but I have family members that have served our country too. And when the commander and chief "Obama" our President has our flags fly at half staff for the people that got killed at a mosque and NOTHING for the men and women getting killed daily in Afghanistan and Iraq....ect why not have them at half staff till all our service people are all home ? maybe you could ask this wonderful president that 3:16 don't tell me that he has respect for our service people. Actions speak louder than words.....

3:16 actions speak louder than words and when obama has our flags flown at half staff for people killed at a mosque and NOT our service people killed daily fighting for our freedom dont tell me how "american" obama is....Actions speak louder than words.....

I GUESS JOE BIDEN COULD NOT SHOW UP TO GIVE A GOOD SPEACH AND TELL THEM ,THEY ARE GOING TO PUT Y'ALL IN SHACKLES OR CHAINS. YOU KNOW HOW THEM SOUTHERN FOLKS SAY IT. TOO BAD NO DRAMA, OBAMA CAN'T ATTEND AND GIVE US A SERMON LIKE REV. WRIGHT. ENOUGH SAID ,FREDS DEAD.

Well here it is.......We are a free country that has the right to speak out. Think about what the two individuals are sentenced to because they spoke out agains Pres. Putin? I feel so lucky to live in the USA and have the rights I do. It is an election year to each his own and if you feel the need to bash rather than think we all have a right to vote for the man/woman of choice then so be it. Get over it, rights are rights and vote for who you believe to be the best. Don't get so wrapped up in your beliefs that you can't see the other side..

6.18 the racist thing goes both ways the reason i hate him has nothing to do with color its because he is a FAILURE nothing to do with color as for america vs obama its the truth we have to take our country back and put the best man (or woman) for the job in there weather he (or she) be black yellow red or freakin purple so wake up its american to want whats best for your country

...A government of the people, by the people, for the people....and the sitting president has NO RESPECT for those people...it's not that we don't respect the office and what it stands for, most of us simply don't respect that man who holds it and has no respect for the office itself--or the people he "commands". How can you be "Commander in Chief" of the Armed Forces when you appear to have nothing but contempt for them?

You said it for me Thanks!

Obama's color has nothiing to do with it. Just look at what he has done for our country. What? can't think of much righ?. Are we better off,I think not. He was not ready to be president of our nation and i shudder to think what will become of us if he is re-elected. Be you Dem. ir Rep. those are the facts.. God Bless the USA.

@ 3:16, I'm embarrassed that you call yourself a Republican. You have a seriously distorted and ignorant view of Conservatism. First off, as a veteran and a patriot, I support the Presidential post. I do not support the President. If it helps you wrap your head around it, compare it to a CEO that robs a company (you work for) blind, and leaves you looking for a job.

It's so much more than that. I get that some Independents and even Conservatives voted for Obama because they were desperate for something new in Washington. However, their leap of faith has seriously backfired, it's time to realize that, admit they made a mistake, and correct it in November.

The POTUS is the worst in the history of the U.S. The country is more divided than ever. It's more in debt that ever. It's citizens are more dependent on the government than ever and he's recruiting in droves. What happens when there are more "programs", assistance, and welfare recipients than there are taxpayers?

You can give me one example of a local, with a bumper sticker, and then call all Republicans racist. What about the Philly voter intimidation, flash mobs of blacks attacking whites, Samuel L. Jackson voted for Obama because he's black, and several national interviews with random blacks who voted for him for the same reason. There are several more examples readily available online.

You got it wrong...seriously wrong. And as I said in the beginning...you're an embarrassment to the Conservative movement.

I admire 3:16 for drawing the line. My son is in Afghanistan. I do not like to see treasonous yard posters that say "America vs. My Son's Commander in Chief." If you declare "war" (which is what the "vs") means to me on my commander in chief, then you declare war on me. That's called the chain of command and anyone with any military experience knows what COC means.
Those signs are unAmerican and treasonous.
Signed,
A Republican who is voting for Romney but not "vs" our President

Well said 3:16
5:15...YOU are the one who shows no respect.
4:20...You support NOTHING. President Obama was voted in by the MAJORITY. Get it?
7:22..President Obama did NOT order flags flown at half staff for people killed at a mosque. More propaganda.
9:41 ...Those are NOt facts they are just YOUR poor opinions.
You hate him 9:42? And 9:23? And 11:16?...Hate runs hand in hand with RACISTS!
AND 2:10....I admire your insight and honesty.
And lastly, I too am a Republican but am voting for President Obama.

3:55 If you do not know what your talking about remember silence is golden. I know for a fact what I'm talking about so don't tell me what obama did or did not order .It is a fact maybe you don't like it but it is a FACT. I just did not say who was ordered to fly them at half staff .Since you know it all figure it out . I vote for whom I feel will make a difference and no it does not matter to me if they are a Dem, Rep or Ind... I vote for whom I feel will make a difference and get the job done. As you judge all the other people and label them what makes you different from them or myself having an opinion ...except for you know it all....LOL thats whats great about our country we can vote for whom we want and we can have an opinion too . Just because you express yours does not mean we have to agree with what you say because when you call someone a liar and you don't know them.....yeah I guess you would vote for obama...oh and what was your NAME ?

I agree about the lawn signs. How would you feel if right after the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon you saw a lawn sign reading, "American vs. Bush"? I would be very upset. It is NOT America versus anybody. It is YOU declaring your opposition. You do not speak for me.
