Charles J. Glover
Charles J. Glover, 76, of Bradford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 17, 2012 at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center after a two year heroic battle with pancreatic cancer; in which he participated in a clinical research trial in the hopes of helping others.

He was born on June 24, 1936 in Bradford, a son of the late Frank W. and Katherine Jordan Glover.

On August 15, 1959 he married Janet S. Heath in the First Presbyterian Church in Bradford.

He was a 1955 graduate of the Bradford Area High School; after graduation he began working for Dresser Industries as a mechanical engineer. He retired in 2002 after forty seven years of service; with several patents in his name.

He was a former member of the Bradford Football Booster Club, the Thursday Morning Breakfast Club, the St. Francis fifty plus Club and the Bradford Area High School Alumni Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his close friends and family. In his younger years he liked camping, hunting, bowling, golfing and traveling; especially to the sea shore. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills, Penn State and NASCAR fan.

In addition to his wife of fifty three years, Janet S. Glover, Bradford, he is also survived by three sons, David C. (Jo Ann) Glover, Eric J. (Donna Miller) Glover, all of Bradford, Greg J. (Michele) Glover, Sinking Springs, one brother, William Glover, San Jose, CA, one sister, Ann Moore, Bradford, four grandchildren, Amanda Glover, Bradford, Andrew Glover, Brockway, Madison Glover, Morgan Glover, both of Sinking Springs, two great granddaughters, Kiera and Kashmira Glover, both of Brockway, several nieces and nephews including, Alan, Janet, David and Dana Miller and Peter Matajasik.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Francis Glover, two nephews, Steven Miller and Billy Glover and one niece Kathy Hoffman.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. and again on Monday, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home with funeral services immediately following with the Rev. W. Leroy Beckes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 95 Main St., Bradford, PA 16701; McKean County CARE for Children, P.O. Box 616, Bradford or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
