Why are there so few police reports from Coudersport Borough like maybe 3 of them a year and when there are reports they never have any information? Anyone who reads this has no idea what even happened. These two names have shown up on here again and again. Is that because of repeatedly slaps on the wrist? Is that going to happen with these cases? Will that get reported too?

Anonymous said...

Does anybody know what happened??

Anonymous said...

What robbery---where was this at?

Anonymous said...

Let me tell you why only a few reports and they are in this format. One of the local town cops use to like to push the pen in his report. I would rather see them written in this format then have the arresting officers write their own reports and push their own agenda (Whatever that might be.) I would rather have less info then red neck cops using reports to streach the truth and ruin someone reputation with stories that streach the truth. It has been done in Coudersport in the past.

They tried to rob a woman who was home alone at gunpoint.

Hey 1:49, are you making that up? What is your source? Until you cite a source your comment has zero value. Also I think there are documents that the law requires be made public so I think the information on what happened IS available publicly if any of the local news reporters aren't too lazy to get it and report it. It was bad enough that they broke into old Mr. Currants car and other cars to steal stuff to support their habits and now the local users are resorting to robbery at gunpoint? When this comes to court will the other charges that have been filed against these two in the past be any kind of factor or are they null processed like so many other times in the past in different cases? How many strikes before you are out? I know this is not baseball but some rules ought to apply.

Okay Tim (1:48) you have a grudge against the local cops and there is nothing anybody can do about that so you'll just have to deal with it. But you make the point that it is okay to keep this information confidential. I do not agree. For instance, if one of these guys was, say, a pizza delivery man and I knew the information behind the case I might decide to meet him on the porch to pay for my pizza instead of giving him a chance to case my place for a possible future visit without pizza! In this case that would not be a very good idea because Mr. Glock has taken up residence at my house ever since this drug epidemic that his Coudersport about six years ago cropped up.

Mr. Butler needs to stay right where he is right now. All of this is apparantly over drugs and addiction. His parents need to let him ride this one out and grow up and get cleaned up. He really isn't a horrible guy just has an addiction and unless you know about addiction, you will never understand. I have to admit I was a little scared knowing that he was running around with a gun on his side all this past week. We hope you get better Tommy and Chris, but you have to pay the piper first because what you did was WRONG WRONG and if your family loves you they will let you sit right where you are at for a while and maybe just maybe your future will be bright and you can fix your lives.

In my earlier comment I should have specified that the ones who were breaking into cars to support their drug habits were NOT these two defendants. My comment made it should like it was these two and I am sorry about that. It was some other people who did the breakins of the cars last year and not Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. Butler.

"Just the facts, ma'am. Just the facts"

I agree that these are PERFECT police reports.

You see, they are just the facts of what occurred in the officer's duties.

YOU don't need more information, this isn't a gossip column or a letter to the editor, it's a police report.

And remember, no matter what happened, these individuals are innocent UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW

So have some respect for the process
and for the officer that knows how to write a candid and brief account of his duties.

You'll just have to wait until the trial to read up on all the juicy details you are so hungry for.

Wow 8:53 couldn't have said it better

Anonymous said...

That's complete bullcrap 8:53. This isn't about gossip or juicy details, as you write.
This is about "just the facts" of what they are accused of doing.
By the way dildine, there is a document called the Alpha David of Probable Causes and that is a public document that gives the police officer's version of what happened and what prompted the police to decide to make the arrest. So whether you like it or not, the facts of the case are not private so the Good Old Boys Club that runs the court system can cover it up.

Then go to the court house or the police station and request a copy 9:58.

What makes you think this info must be spoon fed to you?

By the way, you might want to ask for the affidavit of probable cause.
(They probably won't know what an alpha david is.)

It's a police report. No one is covering up anything. Just people whining that the local blog isn't feeding them every juicy detail they want.

HAy guys what do Mitt Romney and Coudersport police Dept. have in Common FACTS DONT MATTER.

Anonymous said...

Poster 9:58, please post us an example of an "Alpha David" document. Oh geez, this is about to get good.

I was served with a Subpoena Duffas Tater once. At the time, I lived in an area where nobody could spell and windmills were evil!

Anonymous said...

I hate to break it to all of you elitists but Coudersport is not your old time Norman Rockefeller all American small town from the 1960s any more. And no we're not perfect spellers. I knew what the writer meant about the affadavit even if it was not spelled correctly.

Anonymous said...

I do not know about Duffas Taters but anytime the court serves you a subpenis they have you by the balls.

Felony armed robbery in Coudersport, great. As others have pointed out this is no longer a safe little town. We have murders and home invasion rapes, armed robberies etc.

The public has a right to know the details of these cases. It is also standard practice for the media to cover crimes prior to the outcome of the trial, anyone who says differently is wrong.

Personally, I want to see mug shots so I know who not to open the door to if they post bail.

i just wanna say, that i have known tommy for a very long time, ive seen tommy sober and high.. there two opposite people.. tommy is a great guy and would do anything for anyone in this world.. he is so into his addiction he can't even see straight.. i will stand behind him in this, and will be one of his "friends" that stick by him. he will pull through and come back and fix his mistakes that is how he is.. he fixes his problems.. im sure this isnt all tommys fault. as he was not the only one arrested.. but he did try and straighten his life out and no one in this town would give him a chance. why dont you guys instead of bashing addicts, and being so much "better" then them.. why not give the ones who try some credit? im sure all of you have some issues that if everyone knew would judge you for.. so why not all come together and help the ones who need help and give 2nd chances.. sometimes it takes alot more then 2nd chances.. just know in 20 years. you may all forget what you have said, and done.. but they wont.. they will always remember who was there for good and bad.. i pray for you all ignorent people.. this is why this town is such a drug fest... because of you poeple not willing to accept anyone.. so blame your selves.. this county.. and the higher snobs who can do no wrong. have a wonderful day!

I'm not going to accept young people high on prescription pills, and heroin who hang out by china garden...they should be working, and leading productive lives. I'm sorry but if they "tried" they would build their ladder and get out of the hole they are in. I've seen it, it is not easy and I believe they both can turn their funbus around and get on the right track. Godspeed.
