Arnold B. Cady, 67, of Sugarloaf Key, FL, Ulysses, PA, Native

Arnold B. Cady, 67, of Sugarloaf Key, FL died Friday at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami, FL. 

He was born December 23, 1944 to parents Virginia and Edmund Cady (both deceased) in Rochester, NY and grew up in Ulysses, PA. 

Arnold is survived by his wife, Melvianne Cady, his daughters Valerie (Dave) Harding, Tampa, FL , Vicky (Allen) McRoberts, Winder, GA, Grandchildren Brittany Harding, Tampa, FL , Thomas McRoberts, Winder, GA, Cady McRoberts, Winder GA, and a sister, Jeanette (Bill) Butler , Ulysses, PA.

Arnold was a long-time employee of Pratt & Whitney where he worked as an engineer for 34 years developing jet and rocket engines after graduating from Embry Riddle University. 

He loved the Florida Keys, visiting for many years, and retired to live his dream on Sugarloaf.

A celebration of Arnold’s life was held Tuesday, October 30th, at his home in Sugarloaf Key, FL. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Arnold Cady to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF). Go to to make donations.
