Arnold M. "Butch" Pond, 64, of 24 Orchard Place,

Arnold M. "Butch" Pond, 64, of 24 Orchard Place, passed away Tuesday, October 30th, at his residence.

Born February 1, 1948, in Hornell, NY, he was a son of the late Arnold Pond and Jo Whitman who survives him of New Hampton, IA.

On November 11, 2010 in Limestone, he married Amanda P. (Szelangowski) Pond who survives.

Mr. Pond attended Hornell and Olean Schools. On December 13, 1965, he enlisted in the United States Army, served during Viet Nam, and was honorably discharged April 11, 1969.

In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two daughters, Emily Szelangowski and Jessica Bennett, a son, Brian Bennett, five brothers and three sisters.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 3rd from 11:00 to 12:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at noon with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church officiating.
