Man Gets Prison Time for Escape
WESB NEWS
The Ulysses man, who walked away from the Potter County Jail last April,
has been sentenced to 10 months to two years in state prison.
18 year-old Andrew Jeffers, who was an inmate at the Potter County Jail,
fled through a kitchen door at the jail during a food delivery.
Jeffers then led police on a 22 hour manhunt through Potter County
before being tracked by K-9 units and apprehended.
He had been jailed after a string of burglaries in the Ulysses area in
April.
