Albert L. Gaul
Albert L. Gaul, 86, of 335 Barbour St. Bradford, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at The Pavilion at BRMC, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Clymer, PA on March 25, 1926, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Timko) Gall.

On November 26, 1949 in St. Bernard Church he married Phyllis N. Gaul, who survives.

He was a 1944 graduate of Clymer High School. On June 27, 1944 he enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on July 3, 1946. He remained in the Navy Reserves until 1954.

After the service he moved to Buffalo and worked as a welder. He returned to Bradford a short time later and worked at Bovaird and Seyfang in Bradford and Clark Brothers in Olean and at his retirement at Micale Construction. He held supervisory positions at all these firms.

He was a member of St. Bernard Church, the American Legion, and a former member of the Pine Acres Golf Club, and he enjoyed woodworking and bowling in the City Leagues.

Surviving in addition to his wife Phyllis of more than 63 years is one daughter, Susan (David) Berg, of Limestone, two sons; David (Patty) Gaul, of Granville OH, and Thomas (Lynne) Gaul, of Curwensville, two sisters, Mary Thachik, of Buffalo and Irene Rumgay, of Clymer PA, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, one sister and four brothers.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday December 12, 2012, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as Celebrant. Committal services, and entombment will be in St Bernard Mausoleum.
