Public Program On Drug Abuse Trends

drugsPennsylvania CareerLink in Coudersport will be presenting a program on trends and issues with drug abuse in rural Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 16. Parents, community leaders, students and all others interested in the topic are encouraged to attend. Elaine Surma, senior supervisory special agent for the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, will be featured speaker. She is knowledgeable on drug abuse trends, particularly among teenagers and young adults, and will offer practical advice on detecting drug abuse and responding in ways that could save young lives.

The 75-minute program will be presented at two separate times, 3 pm and 6 pm. Video/audio links will bring the program to CareerLink offices in Coudersport, Bradford, St. Marys, Clearfield and DuBois from its live site at Northcentral Pa. Regional Planning and Development Commission in Ridgway.

20 years too late. The Doctors started pushing these pills, getting people hooked, then realized (after becoming millionairs) that they could give another pill to get you unhooked.
