Writer Opposes Hatchery Closing

Greetings Men & Women and children of the Pennsylvania Fishing State, now is the time to stand up and fight for our fishing hatcheries and water ways.

I suppose some have heard about hatcheries going to be shut down. To me it seems like giving water to gas and oil industries, with the amount of money involved, there should be a plenty of money to keep our hatcheries operating, the same way with our hunting area.

If the ground is not posted it’s polluted with the leaching of gas fumes, and oil. I am a disabled veteran and if this doesn't stop in the near future, yours and my grandchildren will not have a place to fish and hunt.

I have helped the fish commission for the last 50 years. It's time to make a stand! Martin Causer is only one man. He needs our help. I love my fishing and hunting at 70 years old. I hope this will get the ball rolling.

Thank you for your time

The land has more value if it's leased to a gas company.
It sucks that the fish hatchery will close.
Nothing in the area, including the hatchery will come between the drill bit and shale as long as citizens and local elected officials remain complacent and unwilling to stand up against the gas industry and the folks in Harrisburg.

By the time the land is useless, Iran, China, North Korea & Russia will have blown the planet apart.

Fish Commission can only use money from license sales and fines, they cannot use gas lease money. Combine with the PGC to get the gas money or raise the fishing license cost is our only option. I'm for raising the license costs to cover the 9 Million they need. I'm also for firing Arway to save whatever his salary is.
