Charles E. Ecklund, Sr., 66, of Clarendon, PA

Charles E. Ecklund, Sr., 66, of Clarendon, PA, died Wednesday morning, March 20, 2013 at the Erie Veterans Administration Medical Center, Erie, PA. after an illness since November 2012.

He was born November 15, 1946 in Warren, PA. to the late Clarence Ecklund and Audrey Regal Ecklund Papalia. He has resided in Clarendon his entire life and was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School. 

He was employed as a welder and press operator with Berenfield Container for many years retiring in 2007.

 Charles was a member of the Clarendon V.F.W. , was an avid hunter, fisherman and Nascar fan. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends.

He is survived by 5 children – Charles E. Ecklund, Jr. and his companion, Suzanne Ehrhart , Valerie Madigan and husband, Dave all of Warren, PA., James Ecklund of Clarendon, PA., Brian Ecklund and his partner, Echo of Warren, PA., Christopher Roberts of Mt. Jewett, PA., 3 Brothers – Ronald Ecklund and wife, Ruth of Sebring, FL., Gary Papalia and wife, Margaret, Terry Papalia and wife, Jodi Marie all of Warren, PA., 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Morse Ecklund who died April 13, 2011. 

A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at the Clarendon V.F.W.
