Port Allegany Man Killed In Head On Crash On Rt. 6

A 24 year old man died Friday night when the Go-Kart he was operating struck a pickup truck head on Route 6 east of Port Allegany in Liberty Township.

Keith Robinette, 24, of Port Allegany, PA, died at the scene of the 9:20 PM crash near the Seneca Inn.

Trooper Lance Schimp, who is conducting an ongoing investigation of the crash, said the collision occurred as Benjamin Price, 21, of Roulette, PA, was traveling east on Route 6 driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, while, for unknown reasons, Robinette, operating a Go-Kart, was traveling west in the eastbound lane.

The two units impacted one another head on resulting in disabling damage to both vehicles and resulting in the death of Robinette. Price was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Trooper Schimp has asked that anyone who may have any information about the Go Kart or Mr. Robinette that may be pertinent to this collision is asked to contact him at PSP Kane at 814-778-5555.

Port Allegany and Roulette Fire Departments and Ambulances responded to the scene. Route 6 was closed for about 2 hours as a result of the crash.

What does it matter if they are or aren't honestly someone lost their life even if they weren't supposed to be there. Think about how his mother must feel and his sister and brother and daughter at that. Forget about weather or not go-karts are permitted.
