Frank J. Hatch, 84, 5309 Nichols Run, Limestone, NY

Frank J. Hatch, 84, a very loving father, grandfather and all around great guy, of 5309 Nichols Run, Limestone, NY, passed away, Friday, May 3, 2013, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

Born July 11, 1928, in Olean he was a son of the late Francis J. and Nora (Clark) Hatch.

On December 28, 1949 in Limestone he married Delores L. (Pfouts) Hatch, who died April 18, 2008.

Mr. Hatch attended Olean High School. He was employed in the Oil Fields early in his working career. On July 19, 1949 he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on December 11, 1952. After the service he returned to the States and worked for Clark Brothers in Olean, then Bovaird and Seafang and dressed tools for Bill Bently. He helped work on the tunnel at the Kinzua Dam that runs to the reservoir. He retired from Pennzoil after 23 years of service.

He was a was a member of the Limestone American Legion Post #1560.

Surviving is a granddaughter Nicole Alter of Bradford, two daughters Denise and Cheri both of Bradford, and a sister, Marge Brocious, of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; Kenny Hatch, Richard Hatch, Donald Hatch, Ronald Hatch and Clifford Hatch and a sister Judy Speedy who died January 31, 2013.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes.
