Mary A. Sweeley, 93, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, of Lewis Run, passed away, Friday, May 17, 2013, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Born July 20, 1919, in Lewis Run, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Lucia (Vecellio-Buoite) Zamberlan.

On January 18, 1947, in Lewis Run she married Clyde T. "Doc" Sweeley, who died on October 30, 2011.

Mrs. Sweeley attended school in Lewis Run. She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church and a lifetime member of the Lewis Run Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Italy.

Surviving are four daughters, Karen (Ron) Ryder, of Volant, Lucy (Donald) Patton, of Gloucester, VA, Debbie (Tom) Lester, of Penn Run, and Tina Thompson, of Clymer, one son, Bruce (Doris) Sweeley, of Erie, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 2 to 4pm & 6 to 8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where a prayer service will be held at 10:15am Monday, May 20, 2013, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, with Rev. Steven Collins, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, the Lewis Run Volunteer Fire Department, or the charity of the donor's choice.
