Teddy E. Brunner, 75, of Oil Valley Rd., Duke Center, PA

Teddy E. Brunner, 75, of Oil Valley Rd., Duke Center, PA, passed away Friday (May 3rd, 2013) at the Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.

Born May 1st, 1938 in Olean, he was a son of William and Evelyn Walker Brunner.

Teddy was a 1956 graduate of Otto High School and later graduated from Dubois School of Trade in Electrical. 

He resided in Rockwell, Ill. from 1956 until returning to Duke Center in 1963.

Mr. Brunner was employed by National Locks in Rockford. After returning to Duke Center he took a job with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 32 years retiring as a highway inspector in 2001.

Teddy was a member of the Northern Star Lodge # 555 of Duke Center as well as the Coudersport Consistory. He was a past president and lifetime member of the Otto Twp. Fire Department, and a past president and lifetime member of the Tri County Fireman’s Association. He was also a member of the Little Nippers, the Otto Twp. Lions Club, the Bradford Eagles Club #108, the Bradford Moose Club # 124 and the Bradford and Eldred American Legions as a social member.

Surviving is one brother, Arnold (Susan) Brunner of Smethport; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Brunner in 2004 and a sister, Marilyn Brunner in 1935.

There will be no funeral home visitation per Teddy’s wishes. A memorial service in honor of Teddy’s life will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Otto Township Fire Hall, Duke Center, PA. at 2:00 p.m. A lunch will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Otto Twp. Fire Department.
