Think About It

In These Times

It's early morning, it's raining and dreary, just the kind of morning I like. I'm sitting in my sunroom, it's daybreak, the robins are scurrying around looking for food and there's a red headed woodpecker looking for a tree that will contain his breakfast. The deer have been through this morning and my Jack Russell, (Abby), begged to be let out so that she could play with them. Much has taken place this morning and it's only seven o'clock.

I like getting up early as it is in these times that I can have the morning to myself. Other than Abby, nothing else in the house is stirring. It is in these times that I find a rest that helps me through the rest of the day. I've done some reading and then journaled my thoughts and impressions. One of those thoughts was about faith. You know that word don't you? Faith is trusting what can't be seen. We often proclaim that we live a life of faith but I'm not so sure that we do. One of the reasons that I say this is because faith has to do with trust and I have found that many things that I have entrusted to God to take care of, I've only later taken right back. It has been said, (not by me), that when we give things to God and then walk away we should experience peace, joy, and a sense of well-being. But too often, and for too many, we don't walk away with those experiences but rather walk away with the same anxiety and frustration that we started with. The reason is simple. What we thought we gave God, we've continued to hang on to. Instead of casting our burdens upon Him, we've cast them, and then yanked them right back.

So this morning I've been wondering and journaling about those things that I've given over to God, only to take back again. I've looked at things like unforgiveness, anger, resentments and bitterness. I've asked God to reveal to me anything that I might be holding onto that I've said I've given to him, only to have taken back. It's a good exercise to practice. Think about it.

This happens a lot to all of us. Most won't admit it though. The reason is there is a lack of faith in this world today. Your letter is an inspirations to those who believe. Our time early in the day with our devotions in hand ,spend time in our Lords domain. A very great way to continue our trust in faith early in the day..Keep the faith for those who believe.

When I was a little girl, probably around 6, we had a guest speaker at our church and his sermon was about faith. I don't remember everything he said but I remember it was about faith. Why I was paying attention to that sermon at a young age like that was beyond me for a long time. I too have yanked back my burdens from God. I am not sure we realize we do it until we still feel the anger bitterness and frustration we tried to let go of...that is where we lack faith. When I first read your words I was so uplifted by them. Then it hit me! I am still that little girl in church on sunday morning being taught a lesson from God. Let go and let God and have FAITH!

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear,
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer.

Oh what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear;
All because we do not carry, Everything to God in prayer.

I tell my friend that I have to much s*** in my plate. To many worries and burdens. She says give them to god and he will take care them and take the pressure off of me. I have tried that and it sure feels better. I have trouble believing in a higher being but I know its there. I always pray and make wishes. Some body hears me I believe. I have faith that I am being watched over. When my time comes so be it. But until then live life to the fullest. Little saying I've been saying to myself in the morning when I wake up " Thank god I was born again today "

I do this with the bills I don't want to deal with. I thrust them upon God likes Zeus thrusts bolts of lightning. The debt collectors call to be a bother but God willing, they will eventually see their payout. Until then, I'm not letting those things stress me.

God is good & all the time, I just had a crucial prayer answered & lifted MEGA stress off me after much prayer! God takes care "Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you" [1Peter 5:] & the 91 Psalms is my favorite. I say it personally too! I shall dwell in the Secret Place of The Most High, I shall abide under the Shadow of The Almighty, etc, a very comforting daily scripture!

You all sure you are praying to a God? Or making wishes on some Genie in the clouds? Ever consider God gives you burdens for a reason? Give me this give me that. How pathetic you all sound.

There you are again...hater of God...creeper of blog...waiting...just waiting for another pathetic opportunity to voice your misery. It's a shame you are so full of hate and negativity. If these comments bother you so much why do you continue to read them ? No job ? No family ? Nothing else to do with your life ? Sad. Very sad.

Isaiah 54:7
No weapon formed against me shall prosper; every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment, The Lord shall condemn! this means the Righteous of the Lord close the door to every enemy and weapons!!
Romans 12:19
Vegeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord
I might sound pathetic to 8:12, My advice to you yourself which is pathetic, No one twists your arm to read these blogs ! Thank you 19:30!!
