Roadwork on Route 321 in McKean County

Roadwork on Route 321 in McKean County

Bradford – Paving work will get underway Tuesday, June 25 on Route 321 in the Klondike area of McKean County. The work zone stretches for about two tenths of a mile in Corydon Township, south of Route 59.

On Tuesday, crews will perform full depth reclamation work, with the addition of a cement stabilization agent. This section of Route 321 will then be open to two-way traffic.

Once the roadway treatment cures, a four inch asphalt overlay will be placed. That paving is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, July 1 and 2, weather permitting. If needed, paving work will continue on Wednesday, July 3. The road work will be finished before the Fourth of July holiday.

Flaggers will be in the roadway to direct an alternating traffic pattern. Motorists need to remain alert for flaggers, sudden stops, and short travel delays. PennDOT reminds drivers to obey posted speed limits and use caution through all work zones.

All work is weather and schedule dependent. J. L. Watts Excavating Inc. is the contractor for this $120,000 roadway improvement, which is being funded by Shell Exploration & Production Co.
