Rodney L. Cline, 76, of Westfield, PA

Rodney L. Cline, 76, of Westfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Born Feb. 18, 1937 in Gardners, PA, he was the son of the late Thurston and Ruth (Rinehardt) Cline.

Rodney was a US Army veteran and retired from New Cumberland Army Depot. He was one of the original dispatchers for Cumberland County Mutual Aid and Fire network, now 911. He was a former Deputy Sheriff for Cumberland County, a former member of Carlisle Police Dept. as K-9 handler and trainer, and a Deputy Fish Warden. Rodney was a member of Friendship Hose Com. in Newville, PA, the Citizens Fire Co. in Mt. Holly Springs, PA and Cumberland Fire Co. in Carlisle, PA. He also was past president of the Westfield Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Westfield; a son, William (Perri) Cline of Newville, PA; a daughter, JoEllen Wiser of Newville, PA; two step-daughters, Vickie (Brian) Card Ozzone of Wappingers Falls, NY and Lorie Card of Concord, NC; a step-brother, T. Edward Cline of Carlisle, PA; two step-sisters, Vickie Gross and Marie Todd, both of Carlisle, PA; six grandchildren, Jocelyn (Rob) Hayslett, Lexi Cline, Dakota Foose, Garrett Cline, Natasha Foose and Zachary Wiser; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Hayslett; and several nieces and nephews.
