Guiderail upgrade project in four north central counties starts July 31

A $268,800 guiderail upgrade project along various state routes in four north central counties is set to start on July 31.

The routes are the following:

Bradford County
• Route 1041 (James Street) in Sheshequin Township, one mile north of Sheshequin Road;
• Route 1041 (James Street) in Sheshequin Township, one-half mile south of South Ghent Road;

Lycoming County
• Route 414 in Brown Township, in the vicinity of Cedar Run;

Sullivan County
• Route 154 in Forks Township, one-tenth of a mile northwest of Shanerburg Road;

Tioga County
• Route 1005 (Pumpkin Hill Road) in Roseville Borough, one-quarter mile north of Route 549;
• Route 1012 (Sopertown Road) in Rutland Township, at Route 549;
• Route 1012 (Sopertown Road) in Rutland Township, just east of Old Royd Road.

Prime contractor Green Acres Contracting Co., Inc. will maintain traffic with daylight flagging operations.

All work is scheduled for completion by mid-October.
