$100 says the whistle blower here wasn't concerned enough to ask the driver to quit, instead he tried to get famous with all the drama. Everyone is looking for someone to sue, or looking for their "book deal". Granted, the driver should not have been texting while driving either... but there was a simpler way to handle this, this guy took the coward's way.

8:39:00 PM EDT Do you honestly believe the driver would have stopped texting if the passenger had said something? No. So why not video tape him and handle it that way.

He can kiss his CDL goodbye.

He SHOULD kiss his CDL good-bye ! How irresponsible. It's one thing to put your own life in danger, but a whole bus load of passengers ? I hope this is an eye opener for other bus drivers...especially SCHOOL BUS drivers ! I wonder if "happy" has children ? And if this had been his child's bus driver, if he would still think the "whistle blower" was a coward for turning him in ? I'm guessing "happy" is between the ages of 15-23. Only a guess. I'm not seeing the "drama" here. And if the passenger hadn't recorded the driver texting, it would have been like it never happened. The driver would be doing it again the next day. I'll betcha he's not doing it NOW ! LOL

Good on the whistle blower .

Yes, I absolutely think the driver would have stopped if asked. Just mentioning it would have scared the driver into thinking of the potential consequences and the problem would have been solved... btw, there is no proof he was texting WHILE driving, barely proof he's texting while in the driver's seat... good luck on your witch hunt.
