OH MY, before we know it SCHOOL
is here…First day of School is August 26th,
6th grade orientation was August 22, 6:30pm
In the High School Cafeteria.

Schedules are available for parents at Parent/student portal.
THE new all purpose pathway from Mill Street
Is on track and will be open for school along with all the new sidewalks. A special thanks to all those who have worked so hard to get it ready for our kids.

DID everyone notice the big maple tree across from the Baptist Church has gotten half of its fall foliage.

OUR Varsity Football team had a scrimmage with Coudersport and Elk County Christian on
the 17th and Coach Moshier shared, “ it was good for the boys morale and they can better see the
areas they need to make improvements in.”

ALL the teams weekly schedules are as follows:
Aug 28 (4:00) Varsity Golf Match @Coudersport
Aug 29 (4:00) Jr. High Football @Bradford
Aug 30 (4:00) Varsity Golf Match vs. Cowanesque Valley (BCC)
(6:00) Girls Jr. Varsity Volleyball vs. Cowanesque Valley
(7:00) Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Cowanesque Valley
(7:00) Varsity Football @ Ridgeway Area
Aug 31 ( TBA ) Coed Varsity & Jr. High Cross Country @ McDowell Invitational
All other Junior High Sports will not begin until after Labor Day.
You can check sports schedules and updates at www.

Girl Scout sign up will be at the Oswayo Valley Memorial
Library on Wednesday September 4 at 6:00 p.m.

RUMOR has it there is lots of corn in Clara. REPORTS about the Oswayo Bridge
assure us they will have a temporary bridge open for school busses. And are planning
to pour pavement on Friday the 30th.

LEAGUE Bowling has begun again at Oswayo Valley Lanes. Owner Ellen Jones reports that
“we officially opened Aug 15th, Men leagues are Monday & Wed, Women’s Tuesday & Thursday.” She is looking for bowlers for Thursday nights. Mixed couple will begin in January 2014 on Saturday night” Looks like it’s going to be a little busier on that side of town.

AS you can see several things have ventured by this porch of mine this week, if there is something
that you would like to have us report on please feel free to call me at 814-596-5220
or email me at

Article is slightly delayed due to computer problem.
