Closure and Detour on Route 2002 in West Branch Township Starts Monday

Closure and Detour on Route 2002 in West Branch Township Starts Monday

Galeton – A closure and detour for Route 2002 (Branch Road) will begin on Monday as crews work to reconstruct the roadway. The four-mile long work zone is in West Branch Township, Potter County, about two and a half miles south of the intersection with Route 6. The work zone stretches from there toward Cherry Springs.

Roadway paving is expected to take about a month and the closure of Route 2002 will be in effect around the clock. All through traffic must follow the official detour, which uses Route 44 and Route 6.

This work is part of a $1.9 million resurfacing contract covering two routes in Potter County. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor for this roadway improvement project. All work is weather and schedule dependent
