prayers to all involved and to you idiot gossip hounds you know who you are "" does anyone know who it is? "" yep and i wont say i think people like you should be locked up for running off at your pathetic mouth's

Hope all is ok or will be ok! And to 9:35 maybe u should not run your mouth! This is such a small area where most people know many and those asking are possibly just concerned that it is a friend or family member or such! Just because someone wants to know who it was doesn't mean it is because they want to gossip!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe someone is concerned about the who and just not wanting to gossip. Praying for all involved. We all know so many of our small town folks and aren't on the main calling lists after a tragedy. So many want to help others in a time like this, why always the hateful backlash? Yes, some can't wait to blab blab blab, another problem with small towns. But honestly, maybe someone just wants to help.
Can we all just stop bickering about every little thing, every time. Again, prayers for all and their families for whatever has occurred.

9:35 come on be honest your just as curious who it is. That curve is dangerous especially coming east. If your not familiar it will easily cause your car to cross the other lane. I hope everyone pulls threw!

It is possible that they were trying to find out who was involved to find out if any friends or family members were involved. Calm down...

I am not the person who asked who it was but I would like to say that it isn't always about gossip. Many people in this area have friends traveling to and from who take that route at that time. Now while I understand they would have been notified if it were a relative, that's not always the case for a friend they might be worrying about. But if people like you want to jump to conclusions & say its only gossip, then so be it. But other people like me are just hoping it's not a friend of our's that we might not have heard about yet. And while we will still pray for these people, it's always nice to have a name for that prayer! So say the name or not, that's fine but don't always jump to conclusions that it's purely for gossip that people ask.

Thoughts and prayers to everyone involved. Breaks my heart. What a sad day...and yes people do want to know who it is. It could possibly end up being someone they know. That question is asked because people are concerned about who was in the accident and if they are ok. Locked up for being concerned. Ha get a life.

9:35 Whats with all the hostility. I don't think they are gossip hounds. They are concerned people that maybe they could help in some way. Alot of times it also stops roomers. Some people get names wrong and more people get hurt. This is a tragedy and all the prayers they can have said for them the better. It could be someones cousin or relative that could help the family. You have a bad attitude and that is not needed at this time. Prayers for all. The families firemen and ambulance crew.

As a Volunteer Firefighter I totally agree with the nib noses that always want to know who it is. Respect the people's privacy. Unfortunately it will soon be in the paper. Spend 75 cents and buy the paper and save yourself the trouble of being a nib nose. Thank You Anonymous @ 9:30 PM

Prayers to all. The familys the volunters etc. I dont know how these wonderful volunteers do it.Every time they get called out they know there is heartache. BUT to 11:44 Years ago people would get in their cars and follow the trucks to see if it was someone they knew and make a hassard to the volunteers and be in the way of the ones that were trying to help or just being a nib nose. Now they get on this sight to see if it was a relative or friend so they can help in some way. Many of us have children or grandchildren on the highway and especially at that time of the day Comming home from work or school. 11:44 you need to calm down. It could have been a member of your family and I'm sure you would be the first to be a nib nose.

But wouldn't you agree that this is sort of an online news feed? That's the whole point of this site, is so that us locals can keep tabs on whats going on around us...Just sayin

I dont see why everyone is bickering back and forth bout this horrible accident. A yound innocent child had its life taken from them. And for everyone who says that 935 was being a nib nose is just rediculous!!! This site is specifically made for information bout what halpening around everyone in particular. And raising hell and talkin back to one another is not needed in a time like this. Someones family is in desperate need on prayers to get through this horrible accident!!!! They are devestated. And to see negative comments or just arguing cannot make anything any better than.what it is. Put yourself in thw postion on the family and have some gosh darn respect!!!!! *To the famuly who lost a you.g loved one, i wish you the best, i am sincerly sorry for your loss i couldnt put myself in your position! Much love and resoect towards you!!! Keep your head held high, god gives us obsticles that some of us cant over come, but he foes it for a reason, makes us stronger human beings. Prayers and thoughts to all loved ones suffering from this horrible horrible accident.

Penndot needs to look at that curve...When it rains, it is like a little river going across the road on that curve....

Jonathan Huff said...

It has been that way ever since the most recent road work along that section. It was supposed to improve drainage, it has done nothing but make it worse. In the winter months, it turns to ice and only magnifies the terrible condition there.
I have repeatedly told PennDOT about this situation personally and as an official, but have got nowhere for it. I am thankful that even though this accident was terribly tragic, it was not worse than it was. Maybe this will be the wake-up call that the state needs to fix this drainage issue and prevent this from happening again in the future. What a terrible loss that was so preventable.
Then again, this is not the first time that the drainage issue there has caused an accident, it is not even the second or third time. Maybe it will take some good old fashioned complaining from multiple people to get it done. Call your representatives, call your senators, call PennDOT... If you drive this section of roadway on a regular basis, you might be the next to be a victim. Even if you are aware of the situation, and are cautious and prepare for it just in case, that does not mean that the person coming from the other direction is just as cautious and vigilant, just as was the case in this incident with a driver that was unfamiliar with the area. You cannot control what the other driver is going to do. The only way to solve this repetitive problem is to fix the drainage, and it appears that it may take the squeaky wheel approach to get it done. Maybe, just maybe, if enough of us complain to enough people, enough times, we may prevent this from happening again.

I was driving dump truck when this roadway was reconstructed. At the spot where this accident occurred, the Eastbound roadway has a tendency to direct you into the oncoming lane.

At the time of construction, I stopped and reported it to the person supervising the work. Nothing was ever done to correct it and it has continued to be the same today only worse because of the drainage problems that have developed.

Local drivers know to exercise extreme caution on this dangerous curve, but out of towners coming on this curve after long straightaways on both ends are taken by surprise.

I was told that a PennDOT representative was there after the PSP reconstruction team left last night looking at the water running across the road problem.

The problem is more than just drainage, it's the design of the road that directs you into the westbound lane.

It is a travesty that a child had to die and 4 others suffer injuries in order to bring this to attention of the road people.
